Consumer Reviews of the Jura-Capresso Impressa C9
All of the following consumer reviews were obtained from Amazon.com, WholeLatteLove.com, All4Coffee.com, SeattleCoffeeGear.com, and Reviews.QVC.com
From the number of web based, consumer generated ratings for the Jura-Capresso Impressa C9 you can see that this particular machine is quite popular in it’s price category. Our feeling is that product reviews supplied by authentic owners of the C9 machine, in contrast to a one-sided “sales” review, are definitely the most accurate resource for frank, credible feedback. We hope you will find this information to be useful when it comes time for you to make a buying decision for a brand new espresso machine.
When you read through the following buyer reviews you will learn that the results are mixed. The majority of the reviews, however, happen to be positive. And it seems that those who scored the Jura-Capresso Impressa C9 negatively had encountered some type of mechanical malfunction, and have been dissatisfied with the post-purchase client care they had been given from either the maker, or the retail store they bought the machine from.
We have now gathered and read thousands of espresso machine reviews. After having done so I’ve reached a straightforward conclusion: It would seem that just about any manufacturer of espresso machines now and again produces a machine which is simply a “lemon”. Almost without exception the small percentage of individuals who have complaints concerning their machines were among the few unlucky purchasers who happened to have bought one of those lemons. The takeaway from this is that you should always purchase an espresso machine from a merchant with a comprehensive return, repair, or replacement policy, just in case you end up getting one of those “lemons”.

We’ve had a Jura-Capresso Impressa C9 for over 7 years and made over 6,000 coffees with it. It was a trooper and fantastic but sadly died on us so we wanted a replacement. I checked the specs for the S9 and C9 and seemed they were pretty much the same so for the price difference it felt living with a black and slimmer model with slightly less horsepower was a sensible trade-off.
The good:
1. Quiet
2. Small
3. Makes a nice cup of coffee (if administered well)
4. Button layout and customization is way easier than the old S9The Bad
1. Black is not as attractive as the silver and also shows marks easier
2. Water filters are different sizes to the S9 (had a stock so that’s a little annoying)
3. All the essentials feel twice as small as the S9 and a pain.. the milk container cannot even support two Lattes, the water container is too small and the coffee store is also.
4. The One-Touch button makes for a warm and hot coffee so is also a pointless feature IMO.
5. Fixed steam spout so with large cups it will be a pain to remove them without spillingWhen we made a coffee with the S9 and new with the C9 we put the coffee in first, fill the milk and 3/4 up we switch to steam and give it a blast for the heat. This on either machine makes a fabulous coffee but negates the value of the one-touch.
If I were doing this again, I’d go for either a cheaper model knowing the one-touch is pointless and if budget is the concern OR I’d sucked it in and gone for the S9 for the added capacity.. For me I wish I’d chosen the S9 as the capacity thing will probably grind on me more than anything else.. but the above will give you an idea of variances.
All this said, I LOVE Jura, for the years we’ve had them, they’re reliable, provide great service and well worth the investment. I’ll begrudgingly live with the Jura-Capresso Impressa C9 knowing I made the wrong choice,.. Hope this helps your decision process..

I purchased the Jura-Capresso Impressa C9 recently after I returned my unreliable Saeco V’spresso model. This machine has been much more reliable and makes excellent quality espresso/cappuccino with the push of a button. My favorite feature is the frothing system that allows it possible to make a cappuccino without moving the cup. It is much quicker than the traditional steam wand for lazy people like myself. Jura-Capresso seems to have much better customer service and warranties than its competitors as an added bonus.

This is my second fully automatic espresso maker. The first one was a Jura Espresso E8. They seem to have a life span of about 5 years with very frequent use — probably 10-15 single cups a day.
The Jura-Capresso Impressa C9 espresso maker only needs you to feed it with water and espresso beans and empty out the grounds drawer every once in a while. It does every single other thing. At the touch of a button, it grinds the beans to the perfect texture, tamps it to perfection, and brews espresso exactly. Finding espresso beans is always interesting. Right now, my favorite are from a small roaster called Ancora in Wisconsin. This espresso maker prefers beans that are not too dark and oily and never likes flavored beans. French Roasts are good, as are Colombian, for a rich flavor. Lavazza beans are good for everyday use. My only complaint? The espresso is just a little too perfect.
It is not the same as sitting in a cafe on a sidewalk in Paris sipping espresso and smoking gauloises. But very few things are.

The Jura-Capresso Impressa C9 is easy to setup initially, the DVD is very helpful. The crema on the espresso is really good. Milk container is easy to use and to clean. I would have given it five stars if the espresso were a little hotter and if the boiler was little larger,so it did not have to heat so often. My husband and I are really happy with our purchase, the learning curve was really quick to a delicious cup of cappuccino or a latte.

The Jura-Capresso Impressa C9 is a great machine and easy to use. Everyone raves about the espressos, coffees, lattes and cappuccinos. Even makes great hot chocolate. No messy tamping or clean up. The machine lets you know when to fill beans, water or empty the grounds. There is a cleaning cycle after about 200 cups and this is a little time consuming but the prompts are simple to follow. The water tank is of adequate size but for large groups, I wish it was a little bigger. Overall, this machine is well worth the money. How much did I like this product? I bought a second one for our vacation home.

I love my Jura-Capresso Impressa C9, it makes wonderful cappuccino without having to manually froth, but I must say the settings and instructions are quite opaque. This is why I’m giving it only four stars.
After 4 months, I still have to refer to the manual (not very well designed) to know what the machine is trying to tell me at times. This is my fourth super-automatic espresso machine, all the others having been Saeco machines with very easy instructions (but Saeco service being virtually impossible in the U.S., I really didn’t want to get another Saeco).

The Jura-Capresso Impressa C9 is the coffee lover’s dream. With the touch of one button, this coffee center makes the most delicious café-quality espresso I’ve ever had. It’s like having a Starbucks in your kitchen!

DO NOT BUY THE C9. Before you buy the Jura-Capresso Impressa C9, know that it can only steam milk for Latte’s to 120 degrees. The minimum temperature required is 150 degrees. I was the one that discovered this product deficiency, so before you spend $1,799, call Jura and ask them how hot the C9 will steam milk

The Jura-Capresso Impressa C9 is the upgrade for the older model they sold me. The older one was in the shop at least once year for the tune of 150.00 a pop!!They then sold me this unit for an extra 500 and it was doing the same thing the old one did. So watch out for the hidden cost of servicing it once a year.

We were about to buy a Nespresso Citiz with AeroccinoPlus. Decided to buy the Jura-Capresso Impressa C9 to replace a 6-month-old Technivorm Moccamaster in perfect condition. We wanted one machine that would do it all. Now I have wonderful coffee, my wife has perfect latte and our 13 year old son makes beautiful macchiatos. This machine is better than my extensive research revealed. It is so simple to use. Now we have one beautiful coffee center on our counter that produces terrific coffees when we’re in the mood. Minimal clean up. Factory settings are very good but very easy to override during the brewing process. One very pleased family. [...] crew is wonderful and so easy to work with. So glad my nephew introduced us to you.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I bought the Jura-Capresso Impressa C9 for my husband at the completion of our remodel. We love it. Our daughter owns a coffee shop and her machines use the same type technology. I’m a tea drinker so I chose this model because of the hot water feature. Everyone who has coffee at our house loves it!

The Jura-Capresso Impressa C9 has all the bells and whistles that you would need without too much fluff. I like the programming option, as I was able to set the one touch cappuccino to actually allow enough milk for a latte – my high school daughter makes them in the morning. The ground coffee bypass option is great for that late afternoon or evening decaf.
The quality of the milk foam is quite good for a super automatic in this price range. No different from frothing in a stainless steel pitcher with my old machine. I was even able to froth egg nog that was thinned a bit with milk.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

After 11 years with the Saeco, I figured it was time for a change. I monitored forums for quite some time and looked at a lot of reviews and comparisons before pulling the trigger on the Jura-Capresso Impressa C9. Wow, what a wonderful machine! Cleaning is done almost automatically by just dropping in a tablet and letting it do its thing. Don’t have to take anything apart. Programming is easy and repeatable. It makes great espresso, regular coffee, and various milk drinks every time. I like that it tells you when you need water or need to empty the grounds. The Saeco would let you just keep dumping more grounds into the bin until you had one heck of a mess. Yes, it costs 3 times as much as my Saeco did, but it does so much more, has a stainless steel heater (Saeco had an aluminum one that eroded through one time), and is idiot proof, which suits me. Get one and you won’t regret it.

The Jura-Capresso Impressa C9 is perfect for people like me who love cafe quality espresso beverages, but lack the experience or training to make them at home. The machine is fully programmable for all coffee, frothing and hot water functions, and the C9 One also lets you set temperature, volume and strength for every command. The device supports two cups at a time, ranging from one to 16 ounces. The Impressa C9 One is fortified with professional quality features that guarantee a perfect brew time and includes a commercial grade conical burr grinder. It took me about an hour to adjust the programming to my liking and another hour “train” my family but since this initial learning session making coffee of any kind is a snap.

Review By UnknownYes, the Jura-Capresso Impressa C9 is expensive, but it is worth every penny. I did a lot of research on these high-end coffee machines, and the Jura Capresso is the top of the line hands down. I have yet to make a bad cup of coffee, and with all the settings, it is impossible not to find your exact setting for your perfect cup. If you are debating on spending this kind of money and wondering whether or not the price tag is worth it, trust me, you will be more than pleased. Enjoy.
